100 Word Challenge – Week 93.1: Seekers of Truth

When we began, we began as Fools. First one and two, then eight strong. Each of us had a story to tell, secrets once shackled that were laid bare to the team. But each of us brought a strength and a piece of the larger scheme, which helped lead us past the choking fog of lies, to become seekers of truth.

And when the Judgment came, it came swiftly. We were unified in resolve and linked in a common goal, to find the truth, come what may.  And the World that rose from the bonds we shared was the pure truth of the human heart.

Entry #1 for this week’s 100 Word Challenge from Julia’s Place. Now that I’m all settled in half the world away from where I was a few days ago, I can get back to writing a bit again. Huzzah!

I hope you all enjoy.

Congratulations on the settling! 🙂 I can empathize with the turmoil caused by such a huge move…but I also understand the relief one feels when it’s complete.

Even though I know the referenced mythos, I like that this could really be about any group of friends united by circumstance and love. Nice job summing up the resolve of the Team, and making it accessible to just about anyone.

  2. Thanks, Mayumi! It’s good to be on the ground again, though it is hard when home is a world away…
Yea, the moment I saw this prompt, I thought of Souji and the gang. Which, I have to say that, the re-release Persona 4 Golden, brought in a LOT more content than I thought it would. I was very surprised.
