I knew it was going to be a bad day when even the radio was against me. I should’ve taken the hint when I woke with another headache and just called in sick, but there is simply too much work to do.
But then a warm arm snaked over me, becoming my own snooze delay. It held me down among the blankets, soon met by radiating warmth along my spine and a purr that stirs my bones.
“Morning already…?” She murmured, still somewhere between gleeful dreams and coherence.
I spun around, dull pain be dammed, to kiss her nose and lips “Five more minutes, beloved.”

Now that’s a nice way to wake up in the morning!. Nicely done.
Agreed, more mornings should start like this.
Thanks for reading!
very romantic story, and you’re so right, excellent cure for feeling a bit off
The home remedies are quite effective, and in this case, quite tasty.
I’m glad you enjoyed!
I want to go back to bed!
Agreed!
ummm…delicious!
Yes ma’am! But that headache has to go…
Thanks for reading Lorraine!
Makes one want to snuggle up. Nice twist on the headache theme.
Yes it does. If only every morning could start like this.
Very cosy and sweet!
Thank you very much!
The best remedy for a headache is a bit of love making. It doesn’t actually cure the headache, you just don’t seem to care as much! Beautifully told story to which I relate!
Thank you Paul! Little touches like this can cure so many things.
Sounds like the day will start well, headache or not! 😉
Yes it will. If only more days would start this way.
Glad you like this one!
I agree with Middle-aged Matron – this one just makes me want to climb back into bed. Though, my mate’s usually the one prompting for a snooze!
And yet, it makes the world all the better to start a day like this, So what’s wrong with just a few more minutes? 😀
